Shrek = Recovery

I think I may have complained- ah, mentioned that Kaden's been a tad sick. Nothing awful, just annoying. With Jim's triathlon, it meant quality momma-son bonding time. Or was it quantity, seeing that I was cooped up with the boy for 4 days straight. Not that anyone's counting.

Anywho, whether it's the incredible animation, storyline, or just the germies sucking his energy, the boy actually watched a full length movie: Shrek. Three times in four days (we don't have cable, what can I say). So today, when we're just playing around, the next thing I know he's talking about castles and the princess sleeping and he's roaring like a dragon. See for yourself here:

The funniest part is when he assigns the roles. Jim has re-built the castle too many times to count, and once Kaden was getting ready to storm the castle (where his dad was hiding). He pauses before the door and with a big wave he says "GOODBYE FRIENDS!"

Actual conversation, 15 second lapse: Jim (muffled voice): are you walking on my roof?
Kaden: yes. Jim: why? Kaden: I'm singing halleluia.

Who needs cable??

F R E E D O M

If you're not familiar with the movie Braveheart, go watch it. We'll wait the 3 hours before moving on. Okay? Good. This will make so much more sense now:

We visited the Wm Wallace Memorial in Stirling. Nifty little place.

Nearby was Stirling Castle. We know a lot more about the various King James' now.

I thought this looked just like a play set!
