He's A Winner!

Remember how we won a Earth's Best package from Amy over at Crunchy Domestic Goddess? Well, it arrived yesterday!! It was quite a day, what with the case of organic formula, Jim's Valentine present and our suprise package coming !! Kaden is already enjoying the good stuff:

Above, he's enjoying the jars of food. Below, he's having fun kicking inside the box and wearing the bib...
And here he is enjoying (aka chewing up) one of the best books around. Yes, I let him chew on almost everything except the actual box (deep paper cuts are no fun at all) and the plastic (obvious, I know).
You can't see the juices too clearly (stacked in the back). It was a pretty neat package. We already feed him the rice cereal from Earth's Best, so it'll be good to see how he likes the other stuff. It'll have to wait a few weeks, though, as I actually made some sweet potatoes (one of his faves) and green beans for him (he hates those- actually started gagging after 2 bites!). Tonight I've got a late meeting, but hope to cook up some apples afterward. Oh, the meeting! Gotta run, folks. Have a WARM and happy weekend :)

Visual Proof...

Here's where I eat humble pie... my sil emailed photos of Eva within 48 hours!
Enjoy this adorable newborn:

And here's a short clip of Kaden's attempt at crawling. There's a lot of pivoting, rocking back and forth, and going backwards.... sometimes accompanied by a frustrated whine. Should we start a pool to guess when he'll actually move forward??

Super News x2

Super News you don't know:
Welcome Eva Grace!
Our newest neice in a long line of upstanding & fun nieces and nephews
was born earlier today to Jim's younger brother & wife.
We can't wait to meet her in a few weeks..
you may have to wait too, as I'm not betting on our relatives getting the pictures out quickly!
She's the sixth kiddo in the family, after all :)

Super News you DO know:
The Steelers won the Super Bowl!
We were invited to our good friend's place, but with the sniffles descending on both Kaden and I, we decided to hunker down at home. Here's how the festivities played out:
PREGAME
(notice both boys have bottles)
FIRST QUARTER
(General happiness, though Jim is slightly ticked they didn't go for the TD instead of field goal)
SECOND QUARTER
(Jim's screaming at the TV causes the babe to startle and cry...
I couldn't take photos since I was rocking one and shushing the other.)
HALFTIME & THIRD QUARTER
(Again, no pictures- much fussing by the babe and some jumping/dancing by Jim.
and really, let's not draw that out any of that out longer than it needs!)
FOURTH QUARTER
(The Cards made their drive down field...)
FINAL 30 SECONDS & POSTGAME !
(MamaK did all the jumping, JimDad did the waving of towel and #1-ing, Kaden did the snoring.)

Wish you could've been here!
